We left for Melbourne with a one night stop over somewhere in mind.
On the way, we drove up to mount Gambia (about 1/2 an hour drive from where we were staying) to have a look at Blue Lake which was pretty cool. It was made from a volcano and the limestone makes it super blue - like powerade!!
Kept driving until the first lookout on the Great Ocean Road - The Bay of Islands which was pretty beautiful.
We quickly realised there were a million lookouts so we didn't keep stopping. We decided to wait until the 12 Apostles (now 8). This place was very touristy which made it lose it's magic a bit but it was still beautiful. We liked the Bay of Islands better though.
If you look closely there are 100's of people on the rock!
We kept driving the great ocean road which seemed like the great forest road coz thats all we could see for a long time. It was pretty but a bit weird when you're expecting ocean ocean ocean.
We mad eit to our one night stop over at Apollo Bay. The place was very pretty. Our accom was pretty average but cute from the outside. And fine for one night at $90.
After we checked in we went for a walk along the pretty beach and went to one of the old pubs for a beer and a game of pool.
We had dinner at the Thai house. Probably one of the best pad thais ive ever had. It was very pricey for Thai though. Instead of being $12 for a main meal, it was $26!!
Day nine done!
